I have a 3.0, technically a 2.97 GPA in HS. I am in two APs right now (CS and Psych). My SAT out of 1600 is an 1120 (500 Reading, 620 Math). And out of 2400 it is a 1640 (+520 W). I know that my scores and grades are low but I want to know if you think I will get in. Please if you think I need to do something extra, let me know. Also if you go to Marist, please let me know what they like to see in applications. Thanks!

GPA: 88-93 (recalculated)
The middle 50% of accepted students averaged
between 88 and 93 for their GPA.

SAT 1: 1730 to 1950
The middle 50% of accepted students scored
between 1730 and 1950 on the SAT.

Marist has increased their selectivity over the past couple of years. Based on your GPA and test scores, my opinion is that your chances of acceptance are slim. Marist recalculates your HS GPA using only the core subjects: Math, Science, English, History, and Foreign Language.

Yes, I agree with nysmile about your chances. I have also noticed that they have become much more selective. At my D’s school, which is very competitive and rigorous, they only accept 1 or 2 students a year out of approximately 10 - 15 applicants. My D is applying with higher stats than you and I doubt she will get in even though she is well within their middle ranges.
