Do you think I'll be able to get into Georgetown?

Hey. This is my first post on this website, and I’m not really quite sure on how it works, so sorry if I make any mistakes. Anyways, I’m a senior in high school and I was wondering if you thought I’d be able to make it into Georgetown. Georgetown is my dream school, and I’ve wanted to go there since before I can remember. I’ll also be applying to GWU and American. I saw someone else do this, so I’m going to list my classes and what I got in them, and then my extracurriculars and other afterwards.

Also, my school uses a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, scale. 1 = 100%-93% 2 = 92%-85% 3 = 84%-77% 4 = 76%- 65% 5 = 65% and below

Well, there you have it. Do you think I’d be able to make it in? I’m just very nervous. I think I want to major in International Relations or maybe a foreign language.

I don’t know if this would help, but I can speak; French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Turkish, Russian, moderate Italian, moderate Persian, some Korean, and I’m currently learning Norwegian. I can read quite a bit of Latin, too.

(I don’t know if you can tell, but languages are kind of my passion, :P)

Thank you so much!

Your standardized test scores puts you in the competitive range for Georgetown, and your languages are VERY impressive. For an application to SFS, that definitely makes you stand out. What level of proficiency are you at with these languages? That’s probably your brightest spot on your app. Personally, I think that compensates for not having as much of an IR focus EC wise, since your language passion means that you’re still passionate about IR. Overall, I think you have a strong chance, especially with all those languages.
