Do you think I'll be accepted?

Hi. I applied nov.1 and they starting processing everything on the 12th
I'm an URM, female, legacy (if grandfather counts), and instate..
I have a low ACT though, 26. 3.7 u of m GPA, 4.1 w, 8 honors, 4 ap
good rec's, essays
250 hours of community service
varsity waterpolo, a few awards with that
student government, nhs, band, 3 total varsity letters, a lot of other good extra curriculars

do you think i have any chance?

I think you're in. The URM status should take care of the low ACT (it's not too low anyway, considering you're in-state)

Hey. Thanks for the quick response. I would have gone into detail with the ec's and all, but i'm tired. lol. I'm hispanic by the way, if it makes any difference.

Even if you are hispanic, you are still a urm. I think that you definitely get in.

Haha thanks. I got in.

I also got a scholarship for four years tuition. I didn't apply for it or anything, it just came in the mail a few days ago...I'm definitely going to Michigan!

when did u get in? and when the scholarship?

Hows the scholarship work WaterPoloBear? It covers your complete tuition for 4 years? If so, thats awesome. Can you give us some more details?

It's called the Scholar Recognition Award and is given to a URM with a high Umich GPA. It's full tuition for 4 yrs.

Thanks!! I was selected as a recipient of the University of Michigan Scholar Recognition Award. I can use it for four years I just have to maintain good academic standing etc. I guess it's one of those scholarships that everyone is considered for when you submit your application, cause I haven't filled out the FAFSA yet..i need to soon!

I got in January 8th maybe, and got the scholarship January 20th. I applied November 1.
