Do you think I'll make it?

Hey guys! I’m a rising senior and I just got back my first SAT I scores. I’m conflicted on whether I should take it again or not. What do you guys think?

SAT I: 2140 (700 W 680 CR 760 M)
SAT II: Expecting 700 or above in Math 2 and Physics
GPA: 3.8 uw
Courseload is extremely rigorous, I take the IB Diploma and have HL Phys Chem Eng Econ and SL Span Math

ECs and things I’ve done around school

National Honor Society (entered as freshman, parlia as sopho, pres as junior, treasurer next school year)

Taught a 15 year old from a local orphanage Mathematics for his upcoming board exams with a friend (around 3 month project)

Applying to: UCB, UCLA, UMich Ann Arbor, UMaryland College Park, UT Austin, GTech, Tufts, Brown, UWisc Madison, UIUC, U of Rochester (intended double major in engineering and economics)

Other things: Asian (subcontinent), International School in West Africa as expat

bump

Many of those schools you could definitely get into currently (UCLA, U mich, U marlyand, Ut austin, Gtech, Uwisc, UIUC and U of R) but if you really want UCB, Brown and Tufts, your scores have to be much higher. Also, make sure your SAT 2’s are also very high. I would definitley aim for 800 in math 2, and mid to high 700 in physics. They are important. Also, being asian and an international could hurt, so I would make sure your stats are above average if your gonna apply.

Thanks!

Are you a citizen or international?

In any case, since it was a first take, you don’t risk much in retaking.

International  Yeah I’m gonna take it in October and aim for a 2200+

Since you’re an international, another key question is: how much can your parents afford (per year)?

Quite a bit. I’m applying for aid at Tufts and Brown (extremely slim chances) and at U of R

Make sure you apply to the automatic and competitive scholarships then (check out the financial aid forum). But being able to afford most of the cost of attendance anywhere will definitely help you.
