Do you think it would be good if I retook?

I am a senior in high school, and I'm almost done with all my apps. They are all due Jan 1st. But they accept Jan Sat scores. The first time I took it was in June and I got a 1900. Then, after around three weeks of prep, I took it in November and ended up with a 2120. However, I feel that if I study enough for CR and W, I can easily bring up my 670 in W and CR (same score) to 720+ I can break 2200. My question: DO you think I can bring up my CR and W and do you think I am insane for taking the SAT a third time?

It really depends on if YOU think you can do it. If you do, go for it. If you don’t, then don’t. It’s better to keep a 2120 then to retake it and score lower or the same, but you’ll never know unless you try. If it was me, I would retake it because then I would know that I had done all that I could.

Your situation sounds like mine, I’m retaking the SAT in Jan to raise my Writing and Math score and I’m doing this only because I know that with some more studying I could raise both scores to at least 750.

So I say go for it and Good Luck! I know some schools say that if you’re gonna take the SAT in Jan you should notify them, so check with your schools.

Taking the SAT 3 times is very common. If you have the time to prep (and $$ to pay), why not try?
