I think it is worth pointing out that in addition to getting the mean, median and SD and doing significance tests, in many of the professions on juillet’s list, the purpose is not necessarily solely to test hypotheses, but probably more importantly to analyze data to identify potentially meaningful patterns. This requires tools and thinking more meaningful than what is on collegealum’s list.</p>
