plussss, I'm writing my essay about me being gay, so it should be kind of meaningful.

Can I get in to Columbz??

good chance i'd say, columbia takes best 2 sat scores so math and bio are fine as is, you're academics are strong, 34 on act is 75% percentile, don't worry about that.
Writing about being gay can be cliche, it's like writing about family members dying or traveling to another country. I'm not saying your circumstances are average, but such essays sometimes sound over-emotional or morose at times which doesn't help. If you write about being gay, make it mature and nuanced, so that you're well differentiated from the norm that they receive.

bumpyyyyyy

34 on the act is definitely not 75% percentile....but ya, i agree with confidentialcoll's essay advice
