Do you think the CB suspects my friend of cheating?

Well...Like some other students in the test room, my friend got this email several days after he logged into CB website to check his June scores, which were not released in time:

** Thank you for contacting College Board and Educational Testing Service regarding your recent SAT Administration. We are highly committed to quality standards and fairness. After every test administration, we go to great lengths to make sure each test result we report is accurate and valid. It is with this objective in mind that we sometimes take additional quality control steps before scores are released.

For the reasons stated above, your June 2009 SAT Reasoning Test scores are delayed. We hope that you realize that only accurate and valid test results are meaningful and helpful to their recipients.

Thank you for your patience in this matter. **

Have you ever been involved in situations like this? Please tell me what you think my friend should do, rather than just wait in anxiety.

Thanks so much

Was he cheating? If not then there shouldn’t be anything to worry about. Perhaps he could contact CB and ask them what exactly this message means?

Plus it says that the scores are delayed - not that they have been canceled or anything, although I admit that I would feel a little anxious. Even if I wasn’t cheating I would feel paranoid that someone in the test room thought I was.

No, he wasn’t cheating at all. Indeed, when he saw someone cheating, he did nothing but concentrate back on his test book.

I just wanna add that all the students in his test room had their scores delayed and received the above message from the CB. When my friend called the Customer Service, they said that he’ll have to wait another few days for further notice. This is why he’s so freaked out now.

Thanks for your input

Well, if he saw someone else cheating, another person in the room could have reported the cheater, hence the score delay.

Friendsssssssssssss, have you ever been caught in incidents of this ilk? Please share your (or those you know) experiences!
