I am a junior and I planning on self studying this summer:
AP Human Geography (I got a 5 without even studying)
AP Computer Science A (I will learn Java and perfect it)
AP Micro/Macroeconomics (I am the topper of all of the legal and business classes at my school)
AP Statistics (I took senior math classes as a freshman)
AP Psychology (I am really interested and excited for this one)
AP Enviromental Science (I got a 4 without studying)

And it would be great if you guys let me know what self studying actually is. Do I have to let my school know? Does my school offer all of these tests? Are these too hard to do? How easy do you guys think these classes are? Or how hard and why?

Thanks so much in advance for the feedback guys. I've never done this before. I'm in AP Biology, AP Physics C, and AP Calculus.

Guys are they like SATs where I register online and take it at the testing site of my choice? If it’s during school, can I get an excused absence? My school is pretty strict about attendance. I’m not really familiar with the American school system, and I want to be able to put my best foot forward. So can someone please help and explain how this self study thing works? Thank you.

I haven’t taken the SATs yet since I’m only a sophomore, but I’m pretty sure you can’t sign up to take AP exams online. Your school should usually tell you about it. And the self-studying thing, you literally just try to prepare and learn the subject however your want, like with textbooks, prep books, videos, etc. And the tests are during the school day, so your school should give you an excused absence.

Easy:
AP Human Geography
AP Micro/Macroeconomics
AP Psychology
AP Environmental Science

Medium:
AP Stat
AP CS A

Hard:
N/A

Does your school offer any of these/what’s your course load going to look like for next year?

Recommendations:
AP Gov’t
AP Comp Gov’t
^^^You can literally learn all the content needed there in less than a month before test dates. Got a 5 on the first day of class (practice test) for both. (And a 5 on the actual AP Comp Gov; haven’t taken AP Gov’t yet.)

Oh, and I’d definitely recommend asking your counselor about how to get it cleared through the school. Keep in mind that these exams run at $89 a pop.
