Do you think this e-mail means I didn't get in?

I vaguely remember receiving what they're speaking of but kind of disregarded it. Today I get this e-mail and it makes me think I probably have not been accepted. Any thoughts or has anyone else received this?

"It has come to our attention in the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid, that you have received a publication, the Pitt Parent Guide, in error. We work hard to avoid such errors and apologize for any confusion this may have caused you about your present admission status. At this point in time, your official admission status is reflected in the most recent letter addressing your status that you have received from our office.

We appreciate the interest you have shown in the University of Pittsburgh."

Sincerely,

No. It means they sent you the publication, meant for parents, in error. It was just a mailing list glitch and doesn't mean anything.

I read it the same way Chedva does. Sounds like they mailed it to everyone whether already accepted, declined, or not yet decided (and probably heard back from some confused declined students). It doesn't mean anything either good or bad. Of course they have just confused people even more. Sounds like someone needs to go on a good communications course!

I got the same letter...I got the impression that everyone got it, and I hope I'm right! They requested to see my semester grades, so we'll see what happens.

I agree. Your admission status sounds like it is as yet undetermined and the Parent Guide and subsequent email correction have nothing to do with it.

Thanks, that makes me feel better.
