I'm very curious to hear this. For every school you've applied to (no need to specify,) put down a 'yes' or 'no' for whether you think you'll be accepted. No 'maybe's' or 'it's complicated.' Just have faith in yourself and say what you might be afraid to believe.

Cornell - Maybe (I have high hopes!! there are days I am like, I won’t make it, then there are days I said to myself, I will make it!, and then the other days I am like, I may make it.)

University of Penn. - Maybe

Northwestern University - Maybe

Temple University - Yes

University of maryland College Park - Yes

I do believe I do have a chance in all of these schools. So lets just hope and pray!

Amherst - Maybe.

Bowdoin - No, can’t say I gave the app my all

W&M - Yes

Columbia - Maybe

Cornell - Maybe, stats are high for transfers but not in the college I applying to

Georgetown - Yes

Johns Hopkins - No idea. I applied last minute, and haven’t really looked up the stats.

Middlebury - No

UCLA - Yes

CAL - Probably

Penn - No

Stanford - No

University of Richmond - Yes

Vassar - Maybe

Wellesley - No

Smith - Yes, got in

UCSB - Yes, got in

UC Berkeley - No

UCLA - Maybe

Brown - No

Cornell - No

Wash U - No

Rochester Institute of Technology - Yes (because they sent me an application fee waiver for being in an honor society)

Western Washington - Yes

L&S? I’m from Orange Coast College, and I did all my requirements. I know the honors program doesn’t have an official agreement with CAL, but I think our rate of honors students getting into CAL is 1/3.

Guys - no MAYBEs! It’s all up in the air, but let’s come to some closure and just say it. If you don’t think you’ll be one of the 22 people Yale takes, just say ‘no.’ I know Columbia won’t take me. There might be a miracle, but it’s a solid ‘no’ until then.

well, as far as the stats go for the IVYs and top LACs, then all the answers should be No. It’s really impossible to know how they’ll decide unless maybe you have a 2400, 4.0, cured cancer, and have a sob story to boot.

If you do that, you’ll still need those recommendations from Mother Theresa and an essay that’s an international bestseller! Otherwise, Yale won’t want you =p

The acceptance letter came in the mail months ago.

Yes (…?!)

Yes.

Is the pope catholic?

Assuming I get around to sending in the app, yes.
