that Oxford College thwarts Emory from raising its USNEWS rank?

I never really thought of that, but I think it is a possibility. I noticed that it is easier to get into Oxford, and when you graduate from there you automatically transfer to Emory College. The fact that there is no selection process there might also contribute to Emory's standing rank of 18; but that is just my opinion.

I mean yes it is ranked 18th but its behind a lot of AMAZING schools...I don't think it has anything to do with Oxford

Well, if they take out Oxford, and use all that money to send out free apps and make commericials with attractive people wearing nicely cut suits shaking hands with some smart-looking professor and have legally blonde type girls sipping champagne, maybe that'll at least stretch the distance between Emory and Vandy.

but i was kidding, of course

18th is a bad thing? I doubt Oxford has pulled down the ranking.

I am curious as to whether US News uses exclusively Emory's SAT/ACT range --- OR --- a weighted average of Oxford's and Emory's SAT/ACT range.

If it is the latter, Oxford could hurt Emory's ranking because SAT/ACT scores are apart of the formula for the US News ranking and Oxford's scores are substantially lower.
