If you start to dislike someone, then do you necessarily unfriend that person?

I know a lot of people who used to like me but then started to dislike me, but none of them have unfriended me (even though they are occasionally reminded of my presence).

I've unfriended a few people. lol... One just realllllllllllllllly reallllllllllllly and if you didn't get it yet reallllllllllllllly started to pi$$ me off 24/7. He just wouldn't leave me alone, and I never really was friends with him to begin with. He added me so I was like "whatever I'll add him" but then he just started to get sooo annoying. Everytime he started talking I just wanted to be like "GO AWAY".

The he started to like facebook stalk me by memorizing the posts on my wall and asking me about them. It was majorly creepy. Now he can't see my profile at all.

lol..there is one kid, a friends of mine at school, who is so annoying! But I don't have the heart to unfriend him because he's such a pathetic loser! I'm the only one who ever posts on his wall, lol.
But that has been done to me, lol. I've developed the habit of adding to msn most of the people on facebook, one particular person (just random messages and stuff) was obviously disturbed by that, so she unfriended me, and since I take pride in my ability to take a hint, I didn't add her again.

I'll unfriend people I haven't talked to in a very long time and never knew that well anyway (like from a class or through a friend). but I have been unfriended by people before.

there's one kid who I want to unfriend, but can't because I was the one who friended in the first place, knowing how much we used to hate each other, lol!

Hmm, I was unfriended by this one kid who said that I'm way too arrogant after he heard from other people that I got a 36 on my ACT.

He was also my ex-boyfriend's best friend so his unfriending led me to unfriend my ex and all of his friends who were being jerks to me. That way, I never had to see "XX has been tagged in a photo album" "XX has written on XX's wall: Gosh, I can't stand Tori."

^ I actually did do something bad like that. Went on his site, changed him to "interested in: men" and also "spanked" this one girl that he now likes. =P

i was unfriended by one person and i didn't know why so i refriended her and she accepted me again... i unfriened one person who was getting stalkerish to one of my friends.

i don't see the point of unfriending people you rarely talk to. i dont talk to most of the people i've friended/friended me but i dont see the need to unfriend them.

Don't wanna go into too many details, but I've only defriended two people...and I think that there were darn good reasons behind it.

One was a guy I was friends with for, like, 9 or 10 years that has decided that I'm the "one" or something crazy like that (we've never dated and I've told him a million times I'm not interested), and the other was a psycho ex-girlfriend of one of my guy friends that I sorta dated for a while earlier this year (me and him are just friends again, though).

I don't really care who adds me or whatever, but I refuse to be stalked through dumb internet sites by stupid people.

Wow, unfriending people is harsh... the only person I'd EVER do that to is my former boyfriend (I got rid of my facebok, however, so it doesn't matter). I'd do that is because his current user picture is of him making out with his current girlfriend/f*** buddy/some random girl I don't know. I'm the "jealous" type and we had an unpleasant break-up, so I think it's a valid thing to do and more or less acceptable by the unwritten rules of facebook lol :D.

But yeah, unfriending people just because you're less friendly with them than you used to be is NOT cool unless there's something about their facebook user picture or name that you can't stand seeing (like that of the f-bf :P). Because, after all, just because you're facebook friends doesn't mean you have to EVER talk to the person.
