Do you use your 9-12 or 10-12 GPA?

I'm trying to fill out my information on the common app, but I don't know which GPA I'm supposed to use. At our school, we're given both our 9-12 GPA and our 10-12 GPA. Because we're not allowed to take AP classes until our sophomore year, my 9th grade GPA significantly lowers my overall GPA. In other words, my 10-12 GPA reflects more favorably on my performance.

Which one am I supposed to use in my application?

9-12, it’s an application from your whole high school career and everyones freshman year usually brings them down a ton, I know mine did

^can we just put academic GPA and take out all the electives/phys ed/?
Or will colleges do that?

Some (most?) colleges don’t even look at what you report for GPA because they get your transcript and see for themselves.

All colleges will do whatever recalculating off of your transcript, the self reported gpa and sat really don’t matter I’m pretty sure it’s more of a statistical/ integrity check thing.
