Do you want to stay in your state for college?

I definitely don’t plan on staying in my state. I really dislike my state, and there’s really not any good schools here anyway. I can do a lot better. =/

Retrohippo: I FIND that comment to be hilarious. Not that I’m a Jigglypuff or anything.
I have absolutely no desire to stay in-state.

What the * hell * is a Jigglypuff?

Jigglypuff’s are particularly good finders.

That’s not your line.

I live in California, and I like it, so I don’t really care instate or out.

In the fall I’m going to college in the best city for my prospective career, which was fortunately/unfortunately not in my home state.

Not really. I’m mostly looking at schools in Massachusetts. I’ll stay in NY if I have to, but I want to get away.

Pigfarts is definitely my number 1 choice.
But heck, Hogwarts is a close second

I want to stay in state- or at least in region, distance is a BIG factor. I live in NY so I’m looking at Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Jersey.

I live in Rhode Island, so I absolutely want to go OOS. I adore where I live, but it’s suuchhh a small state and I really wanna go out and experience allll the other possibilities! The only school I would really even consider in state is Brown, but even then it would not be my first choice.

^ Brown’s campus is SO gorgeous! RI is just great! I would’ve applied, but I didn’t feel like doing the essays at the time.

I, personally, didn’t really care that I’m going in-state! Boston’s a great place to go to school, and have fun, so I have no qualms about choosing Tufts. Besides, Tufts is just so awesome, and the feel from campus is very similar to Brown’s, so I am crazy happy. So are my parents – But I’m going to be pre-med w/ poli sci minor, and my sights for med school are set beyond MA, in Durham NC (Duke is AWESOME.)

@desicollegegal yessss brown’s lovely, but I’ve been hanging out in Providence my whole life! I don’t want to, you know, go out to eat or something and have it be the same restaurant that I’ve been to a million times. Nothinggg against any Rhody school, just looking for a new experience :)

^ Ah, I see. For me, Boston’s a huge place, and I will make sure not to eat at the same restaurants I go to every month ;). Is Providence small enough to not let you have new places to hang out? Wow.

And yes, new experiences are what college is all about :)

No love for Beauxbatons?

^ That HP reference just made my day. And, actually, if Beauxbatons’s headmistress Madame Olympe offered me a spot, I would drop everything Tufts, and head to France to become a witch! :)

Anywhere that’s pretty and good :)

The best state school here is UVA, but honestly I already know that half of my friends are going to end up there, but I really want college to be my branching out time. That won’t happen if I go to school with all my friends, so I kind of want to go out of state.

I’ll be honest, Durmstrang appeals to me the most.

^ Huh. Then, you’re more of the silent, brooding, evil type, right? Totally kidding !!!

Hm…Hogwarts would be my first pick. Dumbledore? NUFF’ SAID.
