yo yo bump.

I don’t think so, since I don’t think it’ll help you get into the college.

you can send a resume. put it in under Skills. just one line. if you have related job experience, thats much more useful

because anyone can learn syntax and code… the question is what do you do with it. if you have made a really good program that has been used somewhere was incorporated in some companies work, then yes

Say one has a few serious Microsoft Network and Server Certifications (MCTS to be exact). How beneficial is that for the application?

same thing. maybe mention it? ut it isnt that important…

i mean, i know Basic, Fortran, Cobol, C++, C#, Java, MATLAB, Visual basic, Python. it doesnt really say much. but if you worked for someone and use the above, then thats what the colleges would find useful

but what if you took time to learn it on your own?

right now, it’s impossible for me to find a job at a computer store or computer repair shop. I don’t even have one EC for something related for computers. I’m screwed.

someone answer me!!

Answered you pretty explicitly over here:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/747023-ecs-security-protective-services-majors.html

I see that, but I wanted to ask people that if I don’t have a computer EC, but took a only a computer applications class in high school once, then does not mean I can’t major in computer science.

Depends. In my college you can major in whatever’s offered. You didn’t have to do stuff in high school in order to major in computer science. Look into the requirements of the colleges you’re applying to.
