Doable fall schedule?

all right peeps, im shooting for a 3.9 and above the upcoming fall to make up for the shi-et gpa i have right now-can i do it with these classes?

ph 116-3
ph 181-3
pacs 164a-3
ed 190-4

pe 4-.5

13.5 units

and what should i phase 1 and phase 2

ed190 is a apply and then see if you can get in course, so you can phase 1 everything else.

PH 116 is actually 2 units, so you’ll only have 12.5 units.

i thought they changed it to three units now if u do the optional discussion section (which u need to do the FSI thing?)

and mizstephy: what are the reqs to apply and is it hard to get into the class? if it helps, im a ph major-not education but ive heard a lot of non-educ majors still take the class.

Ohhhh makes sense. My mistake.

i havent taken ed190, but i have tried applying. they give priority to seniors and people who have declared ed minors. also, i think nutrisci dietetic majors have to take it. they basically look for a diverse group of students to generate discussion about education and be available for a events outside of class time.

how about chances of public health majors getting in-im not an educ minor either :(

what does the application consist of? and are there prereqs for this class? i couldnt find any listed in the catalog/website?

i dont really know about the chances of getting in. quite a bit of ppl apply. it really depends on who the instructor and the TAs are looking for and the ppl that are applying to the course cause they want a diverse group. no prereqs. application is like a general application stuff…why you wanna take the course, how you take you will contribute, what are some group experiences, something like that. i would say go ahead and apply on the first day, but make sure you have a backup class.

Are we allowed to apply to multiple ED 190 sections or does that look bad?

you can apply for multiple sections. your first choice gets considered in your first choice group, and then if they do not accept you, you will be passed on to another section.
