I got assigned to Dobbs this year and I'm still bittersweet about it..
So there are a few things I'm curious about:
1. The Housing website says "Residence Life & Housing will supply university-owned loft kits for residents of Dobbs Hall."
Do we have to loft them ourselves??!
2. The bathrooms look pretty small on the floor plans. How small are they in reality?
3. I'm on groundfloor and some people have told me that groundfloor is horrible. Is it really that bad?
4. Any must have items?

Try not to despair, I think you will really end up enjoying it. My daughter went to Northwestern. Dobbs is nicer than many of their dorms! Dobbs has some advantages over other Residence Halls such as location but mostly, Dobbs has a real sense of community. I have heard this from four different generations of former Dobbs inhabitants! Really seems to be true. (My rising Emory Senior son and former Dobbs resident would agree).
Try to loft your beds. Hopefully someone can tell you the name of the service that will help with this, although some to do it themselves. Makes a big difference.
The ground floor may not be the best floor to be on but also has its advantages. There is a small kitchen on the floor.
