Which is better? Looking for someplace nice, clean, quiet, good food.

What made you rule out the castilian?

Dobie and Towers are the only two I have heard of. How Does Castilian compare?

Look around this forum for some older posts - there have been many people who have experience with all three dorms. Particularly a member called longhorndude who seemed to be a diehard fan of The Castilian, to put it lightly…

Towers is definitely not the place if you are looking for somewhere nice, quiet, clean. Almost EVERY single freshmen frat guy lives at Towers, and they always have all the sorority girls over to pre-game there so it’s definitely, definitely not quiet. And I heard that the inside of Towers is disgusting. People throw up and pee in the elevators and it’s definitely known as the party place. If you like to have fun and are thinking of joining a frat, then Towers is the place to go for you. Otherwise, definitely not.

Dobie is much quieter and they have an entire floor downstairs dedicated to food. However, I don’t think it’s super clean. In my opinion, on-campus dorms are much nicer than Dobie, Towers or the Castillian. They are cleaner, quieter and they all come with meal plans. You ahve to live on campus to get a meal plan through the university, and if you don’t have one, the on-campus food is really, really expensive.

Hope that helps!

dobie. towers is so gross. everytime i’ve been there someone has either thrown up in the elevators or the hallways and there’s always shattered glass everywhere. However if you want to party then stay in towers because the RA’s in dobie suck and in towers they dont really care

if you are more reserve and prefer to be “on” or extremely near campus: Dobie

if you like to party, west campus parties, go greek: Towers

Both are fine. I’ve noticed way more partying goes on at Towers and it’s closer to the greek scene as well. Dobie has a lot more study-people and the rooms seem really small. I didn’t live in a dorm but I’d rather live at Towers, since I’m in a fraternity and like to have parties/go to parties.

Not saying you can’t have parties at Dobie. It’s weird enough partying at towers but no one says, “Hey yeah, the parties at Dobie tonight.”

and Castilian is a piece of ****. I heard it sucks. It’s close, but no. Randoms.
