DOC1 + Math 20C + BILD 1 workload?

I plan on taking those classes for my first year as an undergrad. i applied for undeclared but I think I want to be a Bio major. Are those classes hard to handle together?

not at all.
doc1 isnt really difficult at all, but when i took it everyone b*tched.
honestly, ap english was harder…and that wasnt even that hard.
the other two arent extreme either. just keep on top of eveyrthing, and seriously–STUDY.
it seems like a stupid thing to give advice for…but really. i wish someone told me my first year…haha.

What about math 20c and bild 1?

doc1 has these informal journals…no big 6 page essays. They seriously baby you the entire quarter. I thought math20c was far easier than calc ab/bc, and it surprised me b/c I struggled with math throughout high school. I skipped out of the bild series but took chem6a…other than that my schedule was pretty much the same as yours LOL

Keep in mind that you have to take chem6a before taking bild1. I don’t know if you already know that or not xD it just surprised a lot of people my freshman year so I’m just throwing that out there

I took AP chem so my Approx level is Chem 4 and Chem 6A. Doesn’t that mean I took chem 6a already?

^You’re exempt from CHEM 4 and 6A if you got a 4 on the AP test and are exempt from CHEM 4, 6A, 6B, 6C if you got a 5 on the AP test. Just taking the class doesn’t exempt you, it depends on the test score. If you got a 4 or a 5 on the AP test, you can take BILD 1 this quarter.

Thank you for the reply. I got a 4 on the AP test. Also, how is BILD 1 as a class?

^It wasn’t that bad. Some of it you already learned from biology in high school. It’s more about memorization than problem solving.

Awesome. I like memorizing stuff.

One important question. Do I have to take chem 6b with bild 1 in the same quarter? I was hoping to take doc1, bild 1, bild3, and math20c.

^No you don’t have to.
