Doctor of Medicine/Master of Business Administration

What professions would relate to both majors?

bump . . .

Good question.

Alot of MD/MBA students are interested in establishing a private practice or becoming involved in healthcare administration after they complete degrees.

A (very small) subset of students may leverage the MD degree to jump into consulting or the corporate pharmaceutical world.

I would not recommend the program unless you have a VERY strong interest in obtaining both those degrees by the time you complete medical school. The MD program is incredibly stressful and leaves no free time - most of your MBA coursework will occur during your few free summers in medical school and/or replace your electives. On top of that, some schools will make you stay for 5th year, either between your 2nd and 3rd years or after your 4th year of medical school, to wrap up your MBA degree.

A better suggestion might be to get the degree you want more first, and you can always jump back and get an MBA/MD in the future if you're really passionate about it.
