Doctor Who?

I feel bad for Rory. I mean, Amy treats him like crap. She left two days before their wedding for goodness sake! I don’t think she should have dated anyone if she was so obsessed with the doctor.

Other than that, however, she’s a cool character. I think she just doesn’t understand dating, like a child. Or she tried dating someone else to forget about the doctor, since everyone thought she was psychotic for talking about him.

Donna is so freaking funny!

@nomatterwhat, YES SHE IS! I finally moved to season 4. In “Partners in Crime” when she first saw the doctor… Oh my! :D

^ The season finale will break your heart into tiny little pieces. Be warned.

@drinkyoupretty, I’m getting close. I look forward to it and at the same time dreaded to think about the prospect.

Hi guys! I’m back! I’ve been incredibly busy, with deadlines looming, but I’m determined to make time to visit this post regularly!!!

@joyfulness23: I see what you’re saying, but I think Amy was just afraid. She was afraid of committing her life to Rory. When she was little, she saw how a promise could be false, and how someone could change your life forever, without even being in it. She saw how someone you trust completely could be there one minute, gone the next. That obviously scarred her. That’s why she was so afraid of committing to Rory. She didn’t want him to leave, like the Doctor did, and break her heart once again. And of course, she didn’t want to leave and break HIS heart, either. In the end, she really, truly cared for Rory. We see that in “The Girl Who Waited” especially, but it’s evident in every episode in season 6.

And of course, Amy’s much better to Rory than Rose was to Mickey.

@shmluza: Donna is amazing, and the season four finale is brilliant, but it’s literally hard to watch, it’s so sad. So sad, yet so brilliant. That’s just how it is in Doctor Who, huh?

I finished season 4. Yes I love Donna!
I learned how to play several pieces of music w. the piano. I played Rose’s theme, Martha’s theme, Donna’s, Doomsday, Madame de Pompadour. The music is beautiful.

This thread is awesome! I don’t think there are words for how obsessed I am with Doctor Who. Seriously. I try to turn just about every person I meet into a Whovian (and I think I’ve converted more than a dozen by now)! It’s really amazing to see how it’s catching on in America; when I started the show (a year ago today, actually!), I didn’t know anyone else who watched it, but now, it’s actually pretty popular at my school.

Filming starts tomorrow for series 7! Woohooo!

Does anyone else hate Mickey with a burning passion?

Why on earth does anybody hate Mickey the tin dog??!!

@Shmluza, Good for you! I love the music.
I’m rewatching some episodes…

What is/are your fav Matt Smith episode(s)?

First of all, it’s not even possible to hate Mickey. Second of all, who else is excited about Rupert Graves being in DW?

David Tennant is the man.

David Tennant is definetly the best of the recent doctor, but I haven’t watched any of the old ones, so don’t know about them.
It’s massive over here, but is basically just a kids program, although David Tennant definetly made it a lot more adult focused, Matt Smith is just annoying.
Also, I’m starting to feel like it’s run its course now, like it had last time it was discontinued. Every episode gets worse and more repetitive.

Hey can anyone here help me out?

I’m trying to write something on the feelings between Rose and Ten. Does anyone have some ideas/thoughts?

Thanks!

Does anyone else listen to Chameleon Circuit kind of obsessively?

@usasoccer, rose loves ten. Ten changed her life. Rose can be very jealous. :p

In vain I tell myself 11 is good so don’t keep being obsessed with ten. but the fact of the matter is, I am freaking obsessed with ten. :(

Matt Smith is good, but I can’t get over David. I LOVE Ten!! And I love all his companions.

<3 Donna! And Wilfred. :frowning: He has to endure so much pain. Wilfred is adorable, and tragic.

I’m not completely done yet. But can somebody tell me - does any characters in the previous episodes/series show up again, except for River? I mean like Jack, etc. OMG I miss them. :’(

^ RTD left and handed the show over to Moffat (who wrote Silence in The Library and Forest of the Dead, in which River was introduced). What do you think? Haha, it’s still amazing, though. I mean, my biggest complaint about Moffat is the way he writes female characters, but RTD wasn’t exactly amazing at that, so…
