Document permanent resident status

What should I do when colleges ask to "document your permanent resident status"? I haven't been here for 5 years and I already sent them my Green Card. So what does that mean? I am going to apply for citizenship soon though.

Your alien registration number and green card should be enough. Contact them and ask what else they need. I am a green card holder and that is all the documentation I have and all I have ever been asked for.

thank you so much!
they asked me when i applied for financial aid, so i submitted that. but they said i must document my “permanent resident status” by admission acceptance deposit date, which i didn’t do because the acceptance letter didn’t specify that, and i thought i already gave them my green card.
i am like freaking out right now :frowning:
but i’ll take ur words, u made me feel so much better. i’ll call them on monday!
