Documentation of Citizenship

On my ESTHER, for financial aid, it says that, as of Feb 11, 2011, Rice has not received my "Documentation of Citizenship." I became a citizen a few years ago, and only changed my status with the Social Security Office on Feb. 28...

I know that Michigan and UNC wanted "extra" documentation (copy of naturalization certificate, passport, etc.) other than an update on the FASFA; does Rice need this too? And is it too late to send one and still get aid?

I love Rice, but if I don't get any money from them... it's out the window. :/ Should I call the Financial Aid Office and ask?

My friend’s daughter has been a citizen for many years and she has gotten the same request from all of the schools she applied to. The financial aid office at one of the school said this comes up all the time and is not a big deal just send a copy of your documentation.

Fax them a copy and email them to let them know.

Good Luck!

I actually just remembered that I’m going to be on campus on Friday… do you think I could just bring a copy to the Financial Aid Office?
