"Documentation of Financial Support" - confused

<p>I'm applying to Boston University and University of Miami. Both have emailed me stating that i need to mail them "documents confirming available funds".
What documents do they mean exactly? Bank statement? Letter from the bank? Or whatever it is, what is the layout supposed to be and what should it include?</p>

<p>I'm an international student btw.</p>
