Documents needed to complete financial aid application?

Hello everyone. I had completed the initial application to get an estimate of my financial aid. Now, I would like to complete the entire financial aid profile, however I don’t know what documents I need to submit. Could someone please point me in the direction of where I can go to find a list of required documents. Also, when I do get these documents, do I send them to Harvard directly? Because I have not come across any facility on College Board’s website which would allow for the uploading of documentation.

On another note, when I do submit the necessary documents, when could I expect an official financial aid package? As soon as possible, or would I have to wait until April when the regular decision admits get their packages as well? I want to know this so that I can get a sense of how soon the student visa application process can be started.

Provided all documents are submitted by the deadline, accepted students – both SCEA and RD – will be sent a letter with their official aid package by April 1st.

Thank you very much @gibby . It seems I won’t be able to move any further along in this process until February. So is it that everyone’s official financial aid packages are sent out in one batch by April 1st, or is it more of a “rolling” process (where it’s more of a first-come, first-served system)?

@go4Cornell: All RD admitted students who have filed the proper paperwork by the deadline receive their official financial aid award notice with their acceptance letter sent by snail mail about April 1st.

All SCEA admitted students who have filed the proper paperwork by the deadline receive their official financial aid notice by snail mail about April 1st as well.

All current students who have filed the proper paperwork by the deadline receive their financial aid package for the following year about June 15th.

Harvard only sends out “rolling” financial aid packages to new admits and current students who have missed the deadline, and that is done on a first-come, first-served basis between June 15th and August 30th.
