DoDMERB/Application Status

or DODMETS.

I have no idea the difference.

I can see my status on DODMETS, but I don't know anything about the DODMERB website.

https://dodmerb.tricare.osd.mil/default.asp is the dodmerb site.

It asks me for a username and password once I click on the link.

I only have one for the DODMETS.com student profile, and that username and password does not work for DODMERB

You need to create one... all you need is your SSN I believe... there should be a link to create an account on the main page.

Oops... I just tried to go to the page myself and you need a user ID to access the main page. I'm sorry, they must have changed something in the last 24 hours...

And my user ID and password are not working... hmm...

^^^

Yup, they changed something over the last day. I don't think anyone has been able to access it.

I'm sorry to be a hassel, but I'm still lost.

What is the difference between DODMETS and DODMERB?

Anyone know anyone I can contact to help straighten this out for me?

Or anyone went through this same thing before?

Thank you all so much!

DoDMETS schedules the sets the location for the appointments, sends/gathers normal and remedial paperwork, etc., and then forwards it to DoDMERB.

^^^^^
DODMETS is a website administered by Concorde, Inc., a support contractor to DODMERB. DODMERB is a Government agency.

dodmets is run by a civilian contractor (Concorde) who schedules medical exams for everyone who wants to gain admission to a service academy or ROTC program. After the exam is taken, Concorde/dodmets assembles the exam paperwork and sends it to the Department of Defense Medical Examination Review Board. When the exam data is forwarded to DODMERB, your case is "closed" as far as they are concerned. No further data or information would be posted on their web site.

DODMERB (located in Colorado Springs) will review your physical information and either find you qualified or disqualified for military service. There are certain physical standards that must be met in order to be deemed qualified, if you have any condition that is on their list, you will be disqualified. You can also be found to have a "remedial" condition, which simply means that they want more information about your situation/condition before they make a decision as to your medical status. After the remedial is satisfied, they will either qualify you or disqualify you.

All SA's and ROTC programs have access to DODMERB data concerning your medical qualification status. You only need to take one physical no matter how many programs you apply to. After you apply to each respective SA or ROTC program, a new entry on your DODMERB page will show up and list your current status for that SA/ROTC program. As each SA has different medical standards, it is not uncommon to be found qualified for one and disqualified for another using the exact same medical data!

Once DODMERB places you in the "qualified" category, you are done. Each academy you apply to can see your current status.

If you are found to be "disqualified" by DODMERB, you can apply directly to the specific academy for a waiver. DODMERB rules in "black & white", but each academy/ROTC program can deal in a lot of shades of gray, they all have great leeway to accept/waiver whatever conditions they wish. Each programs has different procedues to start the waiver process (some are automatic, some must be requested).

Being DQ'd is not the end of the world, many many many waiver approvals are granted every year, for many many many different conditions.

You can log-in to the DODMERB web site (you must first register using some specific information known only to you) and check your medical status/waiver status (you can also see your admission status!) when the web site come back on-line. (the web site seems to be experiencing problems this weekend, probably won't be resolved until the holiday weekend is over.)

Give the web site another try tomorrow.
