DODMERB Delays

<p>I received an LOA to USNA in early December. Since then I have repeatedly checked my status on the DODMERB website only to read that it is "Pending Waiver Submission/Review." Two months seems like a long time for the waiver process to proceed as my status at West Point was cleared up within a month or so. </p>

<p>Several weeks ago I called the Admissions Office to see whether there was anything I could do to advance my waiver status. I was told that there was not, which was my prior understanding. Is this the case? Is there anything irregular in having to wait so long for a waiver decision? And what effect does an LOA have on my chances? Your insight is appreciated.</p>

<p>Waivers can take up to 90 days or more for processing. USNA issues the waiver not DODMERB.</p>

<p>My dodmerb status was pending waiver submission review, and that changed to waiverable....about 2 months later I recieved an LOA..just needing that waiver for the vision (which according to dodmerb is waiverable...)</p>
