<p>rancher, my situation was the same as yours. When I talked to Dodmerb, they said I was still "qualified" but because of failing the dpt, I was not PPQ. They encouraged me to retake he dpt because I would get more points if I were PPQ. It was all a bit crazy since the Dodmerb Optometrist I had gone to said that my dpt scores qualified me. When I went back to him, he didn't even finish the test and said he had passed me the first time. He sent in the same scores again. Dodmerb said again that I had not passed. I went to my local optometist. I trust her integrity 100%. She said I received the highest score possible on the dpt. I have not called Dodmerb back. The craziest thing about it all is that I wear glasses and am pretty sure that I cannot be PPQ with glasses. Who knows?</p>
<p>You can receive corrective eye surgery and become a pilot. You just have to have them CORRECTABLE to 20/20.</p>
