Well, I got a 780 in the Math 2 Subject Test. I'm quite disappointed because I'm in the most advanced math classes that my school offers... I have straight A's in honors and whatnot. I don't want to get into detail.

I plan to apply to some of the Ivy Leagues (don't we all want to?) and I may major in Econ or Engineering (in which case I want Caltech or MIT). So. Does it hurt me too much?

There’s hardly a difference between a 780 and an 800. A matter of a couple of questions or not. Whether or not you get accepted or not won’t be because of this. Focus your effort on more important things like ECs instead of worrying about this.

A 780 is good enough not to warrant a retake under most circumstances, and definitely high enough for colleges to know that you know your math. Some argue that an 800 at schools like Cal Tech will be needed, but MIT counselors and many counselors for IVY caliber schools say that so long as you’re within range of 50 or 30 points of an 800, you’ll be just as well off.

Sorry, a life of flipping burgers at McDonalds is your only future. What a failure you are.

(I really detest people like you. Do you honestly think that an extra 20 points is going to help or hurt you? If you do, you’re probably not suited for an Ivy.)

I wish I had that! hahaa you should be fine ivy leagues should even accept you just because you got a 780 on th Math SAT 2. A 780 can’t hurt you, it can only help you!
