Does a 99 in AP chemistry the first semester and a 100 the second semester look good?

I also received a 5 on the ap test, scored an 800 in sat math level 2 and sat chem. I also want to major in chemistry. WIll this look really well?

Also if you intend to major in a subject lets say math, do colleges emphassize your math grades more than your others like english or spanish?

No I think you should have gotten lower grades.

Are you serious?

Dead serious. I consistently scored the highest on all the ap chemistry exams we took in school. And the class was hard. People got 50s 60s 70s, 70s 80s and of course 90s were considered amazing. But we also got a curve. and the class’s exam grade was weigted like 60 or 50 percent? so it wasn’t entirely grdaes, labs hw were also there.

IMO OP needs more common/social sense before college, but ok

alright i dont really want comments and im not looking for some attention. If anything i want to know if your intended major is math will they look more into those grades or will they just look at the overall GPA and not give a crap

You’re such a slacker. What happened to that one point you missed in the first semester?

Serious note… Many, many college students change major at least once. Admission knows this too. So the rigor of your transcript counts everything: english, spanish, underwater basket weaving, the whole nine yards. What grade are you in?

Why didn’t you get a 100 the first semester? Disgrace.

They will look at your GPA, your class rank and the rigor of your courses overall. No elite school adcom is going to be impressed with your chemistry and math grades if you have mediocre grades in all the other subjects.

Wow… All I can say is have fun in community college, bub.

Seriously. Make sure not to fail out. From the information you’ve given I detect a serious lack of motivation. Are you sure college is right for you?

I think this is a joke, but it was funny enough to make want to tell you that is not as amazing to the People as you are making it sound, and you really need to have your chemistry teacher write a letter of recommendation for you.

̵ŁǾĻ

Why is this even a question?

No…It looks horrible. You will never get into any college with scores like that. And rightly so. You got a 99. That shows that you don’t care at all about your education. Why did you get that one question wrong? Laziness. You’re a slacker.

That said, if you’re trying to major in math…then yes, your grades in math matter. Unless your course grades differ drastically from your 800 SAT though, it doesn’t sound like there’s much of a problem there.

Overall GPA definitely matters…but GPA in specific fields matters just as much depending on what major you want to transfer into.

It’s very possible that you don’t really know so it’s very possible that I will tell you. Then again its very possible that I won’t.
