Does a C kill all chances?

I'm taking the most difficult math class at my school right now which over half the people fail/drop. Is a C acceptable? I can still get a B- at a fairly long shot...

If you get rejected, it won’t be for one C.

Yeah, it’ll be for two Cs! Ha ha! *tear

A C is not acceptable lol. It doesn’t kill your chances, but it does maim them.

If you get rejected, it will (mostly) be for one C.

Oh my god Saugus you’ve really let yourself go. A “C”?!

Completely unacceptable.

We at Princeton do not look fondly upon those with the Dreaded C.

(Glares down at initial poster with monocle on.)

Was that sarcasm? Because it really isn’t acceptable.

Uh oh. Oh well, I’ll just push for that B. I should have just taken regular Algebra 2. ):

Is that a C as in a final grade?

^
Yes, hypothetically there is a fair chance that I might end up with a C. The class is considered to be the hardest at the school, the teacher sucks, and there are less than 10 people who receive an A each year.

I won’t let that happen, though. I’m going to average a 96 on my 3 remaining tests and pull off that B-.

yeah, kill those tests!!
i dont REALLY see how a single C can absolutely demolish your chances, although im no admissions officer… i mean, say the rest of your app is spotless and all?
ive seen some people here who say they’re top of their class with crazy GPAs and all, and only get high 600s/low 700s in their SATs? i find that a bit odd.
depends on how competitive your school is, after all, do you have state rankings for your school? relax, i have some Cs in my high school transcript too, just show that youve improved, thats all you can do now, right?

Unless you’re taking MAT 215…

61 on my last test. I’m stuck with the C. And I’ll wind up with a B in AP Chemistry, too.

So a C and a B in one semester… All As everywhere else.

What do I do now? Am I confined to the likes of NorthWestern and UC Berekly, now?

Hmmm I’m going to hijack this thread here but does one marking period grade really matter that much? Is one B/B- for one marking period going to kill my chances? I’m taking AP English right now and we have 3 grades total for this marking period. I got a C- on the first essay and I still don’t know what the second or third grades are, but my average can’t go any higher than a B. I have had all As and A-s for the last 3 years and will have As in everything else this marking period (5 other APs).

Princeton gas hard classes, and the adcoms wouldn’t want yo have students getting C’s there.
