Hello, everyone. This Spring I will be graduating with a BS in Psychology. At first, I had assumed I’d go onto school counseling for grad school and thought sociology would be a great minor to pair with, but now I’ve realized it’s not for me. Anyways if I keep my minor, I’d have to do 18 credit hours in the Spring, if not 12. I have a 3.7 GPA, have taken loads of courses in different subjects, i.e. Economics, Finance, 4 courses in Art and Music, 12 credits in natural sciences, etc. and 12 credits in sociology. I just honestly hate my college and am wanting out as quickly as possible (I know that sounds weird, just my counselor is always rude, the staff is always rude since I signed up, and these professors are sometimes lower quality than my community college one.) Thanks!
A minor or lack of is not going to help or hurt you either way, not all schools even offer them.
Yeah, no one will care if you did or didn’t do a minor unless it’s directly relevant to what you want to study. It doesn’t sound like sociology is, so dropping it won’t hurt you.
