A&M’s dorms do not have wireless, but the libraries, as well as classroom buildings all have wi-fi.

I don’t deal with wi-fi that much because my phone has 3g and that’s much less hassle for me (and that reaches in dorms too), but to get wi-fi going you have to do a little setup. Obviously, it’s not so hard because many students surf the internet in classes/in the library, but the first time you want to use the net and you realize that you have to set something up, that’s a bit annoying.

Also, theoretically, you could just hook up a router in your dorm (don’t let the RA know) and bam, wireless.

I’m against getting an iphone because of the $30 a month charge for that internet.

And texting seems harder (especially sneaking it in class… not that I would do that anymore when I get to college anyway) so I didn’t get it when I got a new phone and contract a few months ago.

Also I am against having my phone and music together… I prefer them seperate :)

I’ll probably just stick with the iPod I have now.
Hopefully I can wait out four more years and by then the iPod touch will let us watch live tv or put a camera on there finally!
