Does a powerdrink really help

ive never tried one, bull sperm haha. But i would make an exception if it helped on the SAT

Yes it does. I had two, it made me loopy for one section, but it was math, so i still did well, and it kept my concentration up for english, which allowed my score to go up 100 points.

I think it helps you concentrate.

I find lots of caffeine helps me before any test. (Maybe lots isn't good for the 3+ hour SAT... too many bathroom breaks... but a little should help)

You should take a few to see how you react, instead of just testing it for the SAT.

Be careful. For my school exam I ate coffee powder and I spent the first hour bouncing on my chair.

I second Dank- some people have very strange reactions! I've had reactions to different foods before academic matters far less important than the SAT and having them right before would be no fun. Try the drink out a week or more in advance, not two days before in case you have an huge reaction. I once knew a girl who tried an energy drink and walked for almost ten miles directly aftewards, even though she didn't have to go anywhere. You don't want that happening before you SAT!

Yes, they work, if only to psych out the kids sitting next to you... ;)

It helps you pee a lot, that's about it.

wow 50-50 vote almost

so either it helps or it doesnt

The moral is: it has different effects on everyone. Try it out beforehand.

Mostly it depends... I've been drinking something about 5 to 6 cups of coffee per day up to recently, but I stopped doing that because it can spoil your concentration - that is what I got from my own experience. But maybe it's just a long term effect... Just don't drink it too much! Test it first before the exam date.
Btw, it helps me to work on my SAT practice tests late past midnight. =)

I think it helps me a lot. Every morning before school I drink a red bull and I seem to be energized throughout the day. When I take the SAT, I drink one when I wake up and then I bring one or two for during the test.

8-9 hr sleep + good breakfast.

i had two bottles of mocha frapp and i felt fine. it depends on how ur body reacts with stimulants. if u act nutty with just one drink then maybe u shouldnt drink it and just get enough sleep

3 Red Bulls in a day is PURELY dangerous and unhealthy. Do you know what they put in those drinks? People have died from over-drinking Red Bulls. I highly would not recommend drinking more than 1 to 2 Red Bulls a day.

Hmm, ok this is what I do..
Before going in, drink 1 beer to help with nerves, then 1 can of coffee to sharpen up again, then bring in a thermos of coffee to top up on caffeine each break.

"People have died from over-drinking Red Bulls."

Lol, really? That sucks =p

changeling, y would u drink beer? minors cant even have beer....

I live in hk, drinking age is 18 here.
