I've applied to about 6-8 schools. Only heard back from two thus far and were accepted to both. Many of the other schools haven't sent me an official letter of acceptance yet, BUT I have been receiving scholarship opportunity letters from them, (where they ask me to fill out the form, write an essay, etc.). AND two schools even made me a personalized webpage where I could "explore" the school to a further extent, but I wasn't sure if they had done that for everybody or what.

Are these possible "clues" that I have already been admitted?

I wouldn’t assume that you are accepted. They may be form letters to provide you with more information and incentives to commit to those schools.

One of the schools that my daughter considered sent her all kinds of information before accepting her. It was a religion affiliated school and they even sent her a letter about how she could convert to that faith if accepted…

Oh I know. I am by no means making any assumptions, but my dad made a good point. Why would they send you this stuff and make you a webpage if you were just going to be denied? I mean I applied a while back ago, so I assume that they’ve already viewed my application and transcript. Why would they waste resources on a student who was denied?

And I know what you mean. My #1 choice at the moment is a Catholic university. I was baptized and am a registered Catholic but I’m honestly not sure how I feel about faith at the moment. I just want to go because it’s a good school. For the education of course!

Students not yet accepted often receive these types of things. Some colleges even have financial aid deadlines that are before acceptance notification dates. So, no, you may not be accepted at any of them.

Beolein is right. Many financial aid deadlines are due even before you receive your acceptance so it by no means that they are hinting to you. Also, I don’t know if it is the same thing, but many schools such as NYU, Boston College, UChicago, UMiani, etc give their applicants a username and password which they use to login to review their application and to research the school further.

Even though these do not indicate acceptances, they do not indicate rejections either so stay in there!
