I am currently taking a Java class on my district’s virtual school that I no longer find myself interested in doing. I signed up for it after taking and enjoying APCS, but this Java class is very arduous and requires just reading, and no actual programming (which was what I enjoyed in APCS). I really don’t like the class. But the thing is, it will show as a passing withdrawn course on my transcript. I don’t plan on going into computer science, if that means anything. Would it look bad to drop out of the course? Or should I just suck it up and finish the class?
I’d advise you drop it. I don’t know how it looks on a transcript myself (though it might be in my best interest to find out since I have a couple on my transcript as well ehe) but it might be good to ask you counselor if you can’t find an answer.
I feel like whether or not you should drop it will depend on whether or not it will tank your GPA. If your GPA won’t be hurt that badly then I think it might be worth it to just stick it out.
