Does ABET accredit any BA programs in Engineering?

I was looking at this post about BA vs BS in Engineering and see that Rice University has an accredited BS in Electrical Engineering program, but does not have one for its BA in Electrical Engineering degree.

I was wondering if anyone was familiar with ABET accrediting BA degrees for Engineering programs?

Thanks!

If you want to know whether a given degree (regardless of its title as BA, BS, or whatever) is ABET accredited, just look on [ABET -](http://www.abet.org) .

Ah, thank you!

I’ve not seen an ABET BA program. Usually a BA in Engineering is for students who have an interest in engineering but want a more diverse undergraduate degree (more humanities or languages, etc.). Some schools offer both a BA and BS but only the BS is ABET. It has to do with the number and type of courses required for the ABET approval.
