does Accepted mean accepted into college of engineering?

<p>does this mean that he was accepted as a direct admit into the college of engineering or does that admission occur at some other time once the student is at Purdue for some time through some kind of competitive process?</p>

<p>Just did an online chat with Admissions. They said if email said you’re accepted, then you’re accepted to the program you applied to. My daughter got the email on Friday, and her “hard copy” acceptance packet arrived in the mail today. The letter in it specifies the program she was admitted to.</p>
