Does ACT Always have an Especially hard section.

Last time, it was math.
this time, it's reading

is this a trend??

science is next, right?

I just don't get it, it wasn't that hard.

The questions weren't that hard i just didnt have time to finish it and I consider myself a fairly fast reader. I'm guessing that almost everyone who considers themself a "slow reader" struggled on this section and probably a lot of fast readers too. If there had been a clock in the room I could have gauged my pace better and easily finished the questions, but I had no idea I was behind until the proctor called 5 minutes and by then it was too late to catch up. Then when I took the science section, I was still so flustered that I couldn't concentrate at all and I just rushed through the questions trying to get them all answered on time.

maybe there's a conspiracy going on... lol

The school I was at had digital clocks, very nice.

I consider myself a medium-fast reader, but I knew that wouldn't cut it. My strategy is to read through it extremely fast, digesting information as I'm reading, but I always look back to make sure the answer I think is right can and is supported in the actual reading. I finnished with 5 minutes left.

The thing for me was that my room have no visible clocks and I had never struggled with time constraints before so it was just a total shock.

Well next time you know to bring a watch (if there's going to be a next time)

i had a watch with me, but it beeped whenever you started the timer, so i didn't use it...that killed my pace

I dunno, but I thought the science was harder.

the science had DEW point problem
that was the only hard one

i guess, but I always have trouble with the science. You know, the limited time to get stuff from graphs and everything.

Reading is the time problem for me.
How can u read 1 entire passage and do all of the questions, while FINding the answers in the passage. and going back and forth. and then THINKING about the answers and ANALYZING each one to pick the right one?
I mean, I can do it in 15 minutes. Just, not 9 minutes.

I finished and i did great. maybe you should learn to read better? This is the exact reason there are tests like this. to distinguish people who can read well from people who can read even better. take it like a man, u've been complaining for two days.

I didn't think the reading was particularily hard. I am a fast reader though and i have good comprehension too, and I didn't finish. then again, I also have living off toast because i'm sick.

I thought science wasn't too hard (cept dew point) but I was in a frenzy for those last 2 questions because of time issues
