It seems like this time around ACT has a lot of late scores. Why?

I do not know why. But I feel you-- I took mine waaaay long ago and I STILL haven't gotten my scores yet.

AHHHHHHHHHH.

Take a look at ACT's FAQ on the topic. First of all, notice it says "Most multiple-choice scores are added to ACT's computer files within 2 1/2 weeks after each national test date." I believe it has been only two weeks since the December test, so I don't know on what grounds you're calling any scores late at this point. Notice also that none of the six reasons listed constitute ACT "messing up", but at least three of them are due to the examinee messing up.

My hypothesis is that this test date, more students are feeling the pressure of application deadlines, therefore more want to get their scores online and more of them are upset when they can't.

You all are lucky, i am still waiting for my Oct scores.

You should not still be waiting for your October scores. CALL ACT IMMEDIATELY!

yea seriously

Umm judging by his username he is international. This means he has a long wait ahead of him.

Nah, I'm not international. I go to a U.S. school here... and when I registered, they told us specifically not to register as an international. BLEARGH. I'll call.

WAIT. I just realized something: I wrote in my test booklet when I shouldn't have (I realized too late)! WOULD THAT INVALIDATE MY SCORES?!

wrote in test booklet??? everyone scribbles on their test booklet, that should not affect your scores at all. In fact, it'll be a serious disadvantage if you didn't. On the math section, it very specifically says "write here" or something

If you took the ACT outside the US, you didn't register (not with ACT, anyway). Your type of testing is international (as opposed to national, which is the only type you can register for). I wouldn't worry about writing in the book unless you know the test supervisor noticed and voided your answers. I doubt they would.

betterday, international testers aren't allowed to write in their books because they have to be reused.

the oct. act scores are online

that sucks pretty bad

I saw this title and had a hope that october scores were going up...

you should really call and find out whats going on if it's taking that long.

Yeah, they give you scratch paper to use, though.
