Does ACT TEST authority use old test sample like the SAT?

Since I found some samples of the ACT test are the same, I wonder why and if the ACT TEST use old test samples like the SAT does in the Asian Pacific regions? And how many sample tests have been release ever?
Hope anyone can enlighten me, thxs!

Yes, ACT reuses old U.S. tests in Asia. In fact, tests given in Asia in 2015 are old enough that they haven’t reflected any of the test’s recent adjustments, such as the inclusion of dual (i.e., paired) passages in the reading section.

Many believe that these older tests are easier than the newer ones currently being given in the U.S., so if you have a chance to take the ACT overseas, it might be wise to do so.

No idea how many ACTs have been released ever…

I think the fact that overseas tests are recycled is outrageous.

If people want to take the SAT/ACT to get into a US university, they should have to take an SAT/ACT that has not been previously released.

Even if it means coming to an American test center.

@Nerdyparent I agree with you that recycled tests are dumb, because it gives them an advantage, but have them come to an American test center!?!? LOL, yeah okay. Like they’re going to be able to afford to fly out for one day and take the test. What if they have to retake multiple times? Horrible idea, imo.

@Nerdyparent I am an international student and i heard that the one I took in December was the one that was used in 2012 September. The ones that are used in Asia, as far as I know, are those that are at least 3 years old, and it is unlikely that we take ACT for more than three years. I just hope that students take the exam with honesty and do not steal unreleased exams.

And what is the term of validity of ACT TEST? Is is FIVE years?
