allwi100- i was just saying what i saw on this website from last year.

i called last week and they said i would hear BY june 1st.

it’s just getting to the point where its like why don’t they start doing applications earlier in the year!

allwi100 what are you applying for?

No problem, bay. Sorry if I came off as angry at you for reporting that information, I’m really just getting frustrated with the whole ‘admission notification’ procedure for transfer students. You would think they would be a little bit more efficient with the timetables they give hopeful students… Bottom line is, I need to have enough time to look for a decent apartment in Orange, notify my employer when I start school, claim my financial aid awards/scholarships, etc. Obviously, more time to take care of all of this is preferred over anything last minute. Preparation is key

I applied for film production. Although I may be a long shot due to the fact that I never took a film class at Saddleback, I did manage to post a 3.7 GPA and gather 400+ hrs of volunteer work. I also come from a family with deep ties to the Hollywood entertainment industry. I’m hoping these factors play a bigger role in Chapman’s decision than lack on film courses on my transcript. I do have a passion for cinematography and creative directing.

ha no worries all good. I totally feel you on the frustration part. and im really hoping housing isn’t full if we get accepted because that just adds to the frustration of now we have to look for an apartment!

And i don’t think taking a film class will really matter to them. They feel that going there is your film school and you don’t need to know much before going into it besides being able to tell a story.

I as well have a 3.6 and have a good amount of community service. I’ve shot a few short films, won some awards at film competitions and worked for many production companies around the area. So i’m hoping that will help in my creative resume. and thats awesome because thats what i want to do as well! Cinematography is one of the coolest for sure!

It is nice to know that they say admissions approved and decision complete mean the same thing. I was starting to worry. I got excited when I noticed I was able to access some features on my chapman portfolio that only students or accepted students are allowed to. I haven’t received any letter but got concerned after reading the transfer blog because people who are saying they got accepted say they webadvisor changed from decision pending to admissions accepted but mine says decision complete. Oh well, still have to wait but at least there is hope!

mine says decision complete, I wonder if I’m rejected?
