does an A+ count as more than 4.0?

does an A+ count as more than 4.0 gpa points?

no, its =

10 chars

Not for UC Berkeley, but for law and med school admissions, yes.

^
lol really?

med and law schools will, not the Berkeley undergrad though.

I wish my A+ in Classics 10B and IB 24 would be bumped up to 4.3s

wait how to the med schools get to know?

your transcript will say A+
the gpa calculation will say 4.0 though

wow i didnt know this
so med schools really care about that?
this suckkss

what about graduate schools in general? do they count an A+ as a 4.3 in their calculations or just see an “A+” on your transcript?

I don’t really think med schools will calculate A+ as 4.3 officially like the law schools do. Of course they will see the + but I have never heard that they weigh it into GPA.

Honestly, wouldn’t you say that Med schools, or admissions officers in general, just glance at your transcript? They not gunna sit there and recalculate your GPA when you have 3 A+'s. And of course they won’t neglect it.

They don’t recalculate it, the LSDAS/the med school equivalent does. It’s a computer compiling all your info.
