Does an EA acceptance predict spring admissions?

Most colleges' early action/early decision results have come out by now. I got into Yale SCEA, but I'm still applying to Harvard, Princeton, and MIT RD. Is it true that an early acceptance at Yale suggests I have a decent chance at the other three schools? Or is it so much of a crapshoot with this level of school that I could very well be receiving three rejections in the spring, especially since acceptance rates are higher for the early pools?

you could possibly be rejected at all three schools. an acceptance from Yale especially early action does not in anyway predict other competitive schools' regular decisions. not to disappoint you or anything. just don't get your hopes up.

You have a good shot at those schools, simply because you were good enough to get into Yale. However, it's still possible (and maybe even likely) that you will be rejected by some or all of those schools. But even if you are, I wouldn't fret; your back-up school isn't too shabby. ;)

^
haha what an understatement

Yale SCEA is actually more difficult to get into than Yale RD. It (SCEA) supposedly has a lower admit rate than any other Ivy.

However, schools that popular tend to be unpredictable.

So it's impossible to say. I'd say you have a good chance, but no better a chance than someone equally qualified who didn't get into Yale.
