Has anyone ever had both on campus and alumni interviews. Because the on campus was ofcourse before I submitted my app. and I scheduled it. Although my interviewer, whom I contacted earlier last month, said that my file has already been opened at tha time of the interview. And although she is such a sweetheart i dont want to bother her again and again with my panic ridden questions.

Thanks. Any info reagrding this would be appreciated dear CCers.

My understanding is that if you had an on-campus interview, then you'll be given the lowest priority for alumni interviews. They'll grant alumni interviews to the people who haven't had a chance to interview at all before moving onto you. So if a lot of people from your area are applying, then I'm assuming that it wont be likely for you to recieve an alumni one.

Hope this helps, and correct me if I'm wrong anyone. =)

It depend on how your local Alumni Schools Committee director runs things. In my area, an on-campus interview puts you at the bottom of the priority list for alumni interviews. ASC directors in other areas may do it differently.

I dont even know what ASC is or ever heard of it. I'm international, in the Middle East.
I'm not even sure if they have alumni here. Though I hear that telephone interviews are conducted, if alumnis are not in a certain region. well lets wait and see.
Thanks anyway.

Iam - relax. There are plenty of students at Yale who did not have an alumni interview. Many opted for on-campus interview in the summer and, depending on where they lived, did not have a second interview. I know it's not easy but don't regard this as a measure of their interest in you.
