Does anybody know anything about Wheaton College - IL??

IT's a Christian college.

i heard they have delicious food.

I know that Wheaton college is a christian school. Very conservative

I have the 2004 US News and World Report Best Colleges guide and they have a 3 page article on Wheaton College. they talk about the students, policies, etc. You should look for that article.

I know that their most famous alumni are I believe House Speaker Dennis Hastert and either Billy Gramham or Rev Jerry Falwell. Not sure about those two. Its a good school but don't expect to party and drink alcohol or anything. I pretty clean.

Wheaton is a great school. When I visited, all of the (2400) students seemed very happy to be there. The school doesn't really give out merit-based financial aid, but the need based aid is quite generous. Wheaton is ranked around #50 for LAC's by the USNWR. Very strong science programs. Also, Wheaton has a well established Conservatory. As you may guess, the common Christian faith of the students is evident as soon as you step on campus. Wheaton is well underway in building a new student center (named after somewhat-famous alumnus Todd Beamer), which should open by this fall (I think). Wheaton is quite selective in admissions... average SAT is 1320, average GPA is 3.7. Plus, a Christian commitment and statement of faith is required for admission.

I always heard it was the Harvard of Christian Schools. It's supposed to be wonderful.

Great school for top Christian students! Billy Graham is the most famous alumni.

Agree with everyone's comments. If you're looking for a Christian school, where you don't have to be embarrassed about your religious views, there's none better than Wheaton.

help?

The law school I teach at has been hiring recent grads from Wheaton College as faculty assistants, and these kids are all amazing – smart, worldly, creative, nice people. You can talk philosophy with them (including Nietsche) or indie rock bands or fashion or the latest novel by Jonathon Franzen. They don’t fit any of the stereotypes about evangelical Christians. As long as we steer clear of politics, we’re fine.
