Does anybody know average UT Engineering GPA's?

I'm hovering around 3.0 (looking at about a 2.85 after this semester) and am wondering if anybody knows average GPA's of Engineering schools, particularly Electrical Engineering. Working full time with classes is getting to be brutal and I need to know how I'm matching up with fellow graduates because I might need to stop working in the future and find an alternate source of income.

3.3 gpa probably

I heard the GPA of the Engineering school at UT is around 3.6-4.0.

In general, most Engineering schools probably have an average GPA of 3.3-3.5 but you still usually need a high GPA to get accepted into prestigious colleges.

I have around a 3.54 GPA taking 26 credits working full-time and part-time. (Depending on my class week if I have to do a nuclear lab or something) No excuses!

Their is a file/PDF somewhere on the UT website (forgot where but Ill search for it when I get time after finals) that the average GPA for freshman is around a ~3.0 with a standard deviation of around .05. There is no way everyone in Cockrell has a GPA between 3.6-4.0

Never mind, here it is guys:

Scroll down to Cockrell SOE and it breaks it down by freshman, sophomore, etc. This is from 08/09 but its pretty indicative of what the GPA is right now

If the average gap is 3.6-4.0 i must be doing something very very wrong

Heres an exerpt from the chemical engineering at UT.

“Department faculty are experts in their fields and the median gradepoint average of chemical engineering students is 3.9 on a 4.0 scale. Studying under and among the best is challenging and prepares students to enter a competitive workforce.”

Plus I said I heard. I live in Connecticut. That 3.6-4.0 is what I have been reading.

Yeah I saw that too on the ChE website. But I talked to Kelly, the departmental advisor about it.I’m in ChE and that GPA range is for the acceptance of graduate students into the ChE program here at UT. GPA of grad students are pretty high (Around 3.9, especially for a top 7 program)
