<p>Many public universities use just that test with the highest composite from a single sitting, the UCs, UIUC, Mich among them. Almost all of your high ranked privates use best subscores from multiple tests with UChicago being the exception by using that test with the highest composite</p>

<p>Majority of what kind of universities? Most highly selective private universities, as drusba already mentioned, consider your best scores section by section, the procedure that some people call "superscoring."</p>
<p>you're probably ok with your superscore but you have to contact each school individually to confirm this if you are concerned. i don't think you have a reason to be concerned though</p>
