so I took the october test and I am almost certain that I got all the math questions correct. However, I was just thinking about it and I realized whether I actually filled out the bubbles in the math grid in section.
I did put all the answers in the box above, but since I'm not sure if i actually put the bubbles in so I'm really nervous and freaked out.
I'll call college board on monday if there is any chance to check if i actually did it or not, and if not, if there is any possibility to have a real person look it up for scoring by any cost.
Im just really desperate and freaked out so i just couldn't wait til monday. Did anybody have any similar situation? if you do, please answer...

O, I’m sorry but unless you filled in the ovals you won’t get credit for it, even if you wrote in the answers above in the blank space:(

^Unfortunately Wartsandall is right! One thought - Maybe your school has not mailed the answer sheets to the ETS. You could plead your case to your school’s test supervisor. Good luck.

I believe that you can pay extra to request your test be hand scored, but I don’t know if they will count the written answers even IF you get it hand scored.

If you didn’t bubble the answers, I don’t think there’s anything you can do. I recall reading that the hand-written responses are always ignored and are only to help the students keep track of what to bubble.

I think you’re stuck with hand written answers and no credit… Sorry.

Thank you guys so much for the replies. I’m just not sure if i did fill it out or not, but i’ll request hand scoring just in case. I just found this statement from college board:

If we can determine that you made an obvious error in filling in the information on the answer sheet (such as, but not limited to, placing your answers in the wrong section of the answer sheet or improperly recording the test identifying code), your score may change. In this situation, your adjusted score will be automatically reported; however, your score verification fee will not be refunded.

So I’ll try to talk to CB on monday and see how it goes. Thank you again guys.

No, I don’t think a re-score will help. If you don’t fill it out properly, I don’t think they will change your score. But yeah, call and ask them.

@Silverturtle–Are you saying that if you don’t put a hand-written response in the grid-in but instead just circle in the bubbles, you can still get FULL credit?

Worthy of a “My worst nightmare” thread

oh gosh.
i dont think you get points for that.

in the 7th grade, i took the PSAT, and forgot to bubble in EVERY SINGLE grid-in. i failed epically at math that year ^^

@fresh101
I’m not silverturtle, but you don’t have to write the numbers in. I just think it helps though, since it takes less than a second and helps you avoid errors.

SWWEEET!! i never knew that…writing the numbers in AND filling the ovals take too much time.

“Are you saying that if you don’t put a hand-written response in the grid-in but instead just circle in the bubbles, you can still get FULL credit?”

Yeah.

basically… you did the 1 bad scenario out of the 3. You could have filled in the bubbles AND written it in. you could have filled in the bubbles WITHOUT writting it in. but you cant not bubble it in. honestly i feel bad for you if that is the case. I suggest pleading your case to ur school/PSAT ppl

BTW
you took the PSAT in 7th grade?!?!?!?!
why?

I think I did that for one question on my actual SAT as it claimed that I left it blank when I know I answered the question…cost me my goal of 750 >_>, but I guess there isn’t much to complain with 740.

if you were talking to me, olleger, it was because my school offered it as “early practice”.
really, it just scares the heck out of all of the un-prepared kids who took it D: lol

great now you got me worried whether or not i filled in the answers…
